Briscoe Cain is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice law in all Texas courts. In addition, Briscoe is a two-term member of the Texas House of Representatives, serving Texas House District 128, which represents Baytown, Crosby, Deer Park, Highlands, La Porte, Morgan’s Point, and Pasadena. Briscoe has a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. Prior to law school, Briscoe spent close to 6 years working in various roles at the prominent criminal defense firm of Schnieder & McKinney; which in 2012 was ranked by U.S. News as the only Tier 1 Houston Criminal Defense Law Firm ranked in all three defense categories.

 

Before going into practice, Briscoe served as the Associate Attorney to H. John Schmude who later became the judge of the 247th State District Court of Harris County, Texas. As a student of law, Briscoe distinguished himself by becoming one of only two certified mediators of his class before graduating. Briscoe resides in Deer Park, Texas with his wife Bergundi and their four sons. In his free time, Briscoe enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Briscoe also serves the State of Texas as a Captain in the Texas State Guard.
